Dear Oliver,
I cannot believe you are four months old! You've grown and changed so much over the last month and we have really begun to hit our groove as a family of three (+ pets!). During your fourth month, you became excellent at tummy time, lifting up your head and looking around like a champ!
Propping yourself up so high on your belly enabled you to roll from your belly to your back now as well. After you did so four times in a row one morning, I decided to get it on video, so here's a video of about three minutes and fifty seconds of Mommy talking and cheering you on and ten seconds of you rolling over. Yay Oliver!
You were also baptized this month, on September 18 at Manning Chapel on Brown's campus. It was the perfect day and the perfect place to celebrate you as a perfect child of God and initiated into a community that has already loved you before you were born. We were so blessed to have your Gigi & Pop, Aunt Sarah & Uncles Boro & Kev, and your cousins Griffin, Declan, and Brendan join us along with numerous other friends. Your godparents, Anne & Patrick Quinn, are an amazing example for you of humble spirituality and sincerity and I can't wait for you to get to know them better.
We love you so much, sweet boy, and every day and week, we love you more and more as we continue to get to know one another and see your personality start to develop and shine through. Your smiles make us giggle and do the silliest things just to elicit them and your little laughs make my heart melt all over again.
At four months, you're really no longer a newborn, but rather an "infant." I'm a little nostalgic about saying goodbye to that newborn-tiny-baby phase, but so excited about who you are now and who you continue to become. You're taking us on the greatest adventure we've known thus far and I can't wait to see what else is in store.
Love,
Your Mama
